We often hear that a picture is worth a thousand words—imagine the power of a story told entirely through the body. By exploring physical movement as a primary storytelling tool, we can reach the emotional core of what we truly want to share with an audience. Through accessible techniques drawn from mime and neutral mask, we will discover how to communicate with clarity, intention, and impact. Together, we will create compelling stories using only our bodies, faces, and imaginations—unlocking a bold, universal language that resonates beyond words.
Come prepared to move—comfortable clothing and shoes (barefoot is ok) are requested.
Kerry Christianson began studying mime in her pre-teen years and continued her movement and Lecoq-based training at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In the late 1980s, she performed with a mime troupe in Minneapolis and went on to spend more than 25 years as an actor, choreographer, and director in the Seattle theater scene.
A $40 workshop fee (NOTAFLOF) will cover materials, lunch, and a small honorarium.
